National Level Hands -on Workshop on Cloud Computing and its Research Challenges (CRC’14) on 21st Nov 2014
Department of Computer Science and Engineering Organized a National level Hands on workshop on Cloud Computing and Research Challenges (CRC’14)on 21st Nov2014 in SCSVMV University, Enathur, kanchipuram.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dean prof.Dr.G.Sriram, Engg. & Technology, Prof.Dr.S.Rajalakshmi,Director Advanced Computing Centre SCSVMV University. Head of the Department Mr.R.Vasanth Kumar Mehta, gave the welcome address followed by Mr. Magesh Venkataramani, Delivery Director - Strategic Accounts @ Altimetrik gave the keynote Address. There are around 35 Participants from various institutions from different part of india and Internal Faculties,Students also benifited from the same workshop.
In the First session Mr.S.Ramamoorthy, Assistant professor, Department of CSE, Discussed about various topics like Introduction to Cloud Computing ,Types, Service Models, Challenges, Application, Big Data Analytics, Research Challenges in Cloud and Big Data Analytics.
In the Next session Ms.R.Poorva devi, Assistant professor, Department of CSE had Discussion about Various Cloud Computing Simulation Tools & Implementation aspects. In the Hands on Session participants are trained on the various cloud domain like Virtualization, Amazon EC2 – (IaaS), SalesForce – (SaaS), Google App Engine (Paas) & Cloud Sim.
The workshop was concluded with Certificate Distribution by Dean and Vote of Thanks given by Mr.S.Ramamoorthy, Assistant professor, Department of CSE and Overall program was coordinated by Mr.J.S.Shyam mohan & Mr.M.Thirunavukkarasu, Assistant professor,Department of CSE, SCSVMV University.
