The Department of Computer Science and Engineering conducted 3rd National Conference on Innovations in Information and Communication Technologies on January 23rd and 24th 2014 in association with ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu . Participants from various universities and colleges took part in the conference. The conference was organized in Adi Sankara Auditorium,Central International Library ,SCSVMV University.
On Jan 23, 2014 (Day-1) started with Prayer and Lighting of Kutthuvillakku.
Prof.Dr.S.Rajalakshmi CSE Department, gave the welcome address. Prof. Dr. G. Sriram,
Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology delivered the inaugural address, and the Vice-Chancellor Prof.Dr.V.S.Vishnu Potty gave the presidential address.
Keynote Addresses were given by the chief guests.Dr. Sivakumar Kathiresan, Associate Director, Head- Security Assessment Team CTS -Chennai and Mr. Srinivasan Venkataraman CTO CVC -Bangalore.
Vote of Thanks was presented by Mr.R.Vasanth Kumar Mehta Head ,Department of Computer Science & Engineering, SCSVMV University.
In Plenary Sessions Prof.Dr. Sivakumar Kathiresan delivered a talk on “Security” followed by Mr. Srinivasan VenKataraman CTO CVC who delivered his speech on “Internet of things”
The paper presentation session-I was held on 23rd Jan 2014 by both research scholars and PG students presenting their papers chaired by Mr.Dhahanjay Kumar Assitant Professor, Madras Institute of Technology , Chrompet Chennai& Prof S.Rajalakshmi , SCSVMV University.
On 24th Jan 2014 (Day -2) Dr. Krishna Kumar Defence Res &Dev Organisation ,Ministry of Defence , Avadi- Chennai , delivered a talk on Robotics.
Then the paper presentation Session –II & III was held chaired by Dr.Krishna Kumar DRDO Ministry of Defence , Avadi- Chennai, Dr.P.Shanmuga Priya Head ,Department of Information Technology SCSVMV University, Dr.N.R.Ananthanarayanan, Head, Department of Computer Science and Applications SCSVMV and Dr.C.Parathasarthy Assistant Professor, Department of Information Technology, SCSVMV University.
The valediction was held at 3.00 p.m. The programme started with welcome address byMs.C.Sunitha Ram , Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, SCSVMV University. Dr.Krishna Kumar DRDO, Ministry of Defence , Avadi- Chennai delivered the valedictory address by emphasizing the importance of such conferences .
Prof.Dr.G. Srinivasu, Registrar, SCSVMV gave the felicitation address. He also distributed certificates to all the participants. One of the papers was awarded as the Best paper Award and a cash prize.
Vote of Thanks was presented by coordinator of this conference Mr.S.Ramamoorthy, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science &engineering, SCSVMV University.
The programme concluded with National Anthem.
