The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering celebrated 51st Engineer’s Day on 18.09.2018(Tuesday) at Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Diamond Jubilee hall, Ground Floor, Library Building from 10.A.M. to 11.30 A.M.

The Programme started with a prayer song, Prof. V.Swaminathan, Head of the Department, ECE welcomed the gathering, Prof.Dr.G.Sriram, Dean (Engineering & Technology),delivered the special address and the proceedings of Engineers day celebration 2018 was released.

Shri.M.K.Jeevarajan, Director, Pantech Group of Companies, Chennai delivered the Key-note address & gave a lecture on the How to start small scale Industries (Engineers to become Entrepreneurs). All the students of the First Year & Second Year of ECE department celebrated the Engineers Day Celebration-2018.

The following events were conducted for all the students of ECE
Speech competition on the topic “Skill Development for Young Engineers to Reform Core-sector”
Essay Writing on the topic “E-Waste Management”
Engineering Quiz on concept of “Engineering Innovations”
Poster/Chart Presentation on “Engineering Design for Modern World”
Technical Debate on “Current issues in the field of Electronics Engineering”
Paper presentation on “Make in India”
Innovative Idea Creations

Certificates were distributed to Winners and Runners of all the events, Dr.P.Venkatesan, Associate Professor proposed the vote of thanks & the programme concluded with National Anthem. The Convenor for the programme is Dr.P.Venkatesan, Associate Professor, ECE and co-coordinator is Shri.T.Dinesh Kumar, AP/ECE.
