The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, a Department under “Faculty of Engineering and Technology” had organised a “NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON RECENT ADVANCEMENTS IN VLSI, SIGNAL PROCESSING and COMMUNICATION” on 21st February, 2015 at Sri Adi-Sankara Study Centre, SCSVMV University, Kanchipuram.
Research scholars, Faculty and Students from various branches of Engineering and Technology like Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology, 50 in total has contributed their Research, Projects, Findings in the Conference.
The conference began with a Prayer song. The Conference was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. G.Srinivasu, Registrar of SCSVMV University. Prof. Dr. G. Sriram, Dean (Engineering & Technology) felicitated the gathering. Prof.Dr.M.Sivanandam, Professor & HOD, welcome the dignitaries and the gathering. The Registrar had expressed his views about the Conference. He had highlighted the infrastructure and facilities available in the University for the Research Scholars, Faculty and Students.
A Special Talk was given about the Mars Orbiter Mission by Shri. M S.PANNIRSELVAM one of the Fourteen Genius Behind MANGALYAN Success.
Shri.T.Dineshkumar welcomed the valedictory Function Chief Guest Dr. P.SIVAKUMAR the Outstanding Scientist, is the Director of Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment (CVRDE), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Govt of India. The Participants got an exposure towards Arjun Catapult, Carrier Command and Post Tracked Vehicle and Armoured Recovery & Repair Vehicle. The chief guest gave a special Talk on the Importance of Electronics & Communication Engineers in the Defence Sectors and the best paper presentation award to Shri. S.Parasuraman, Assistant Professor, P.T. Lee. Chengalvaraya Naicker College of Engineering and Technology and certificates to the other participants.
The presentation was supported with Audio & Video Clippings which was welcomed and appreciated by the participants. Shri.S.Vijayaraghavan had delivered the vote of thanks and the function concluded with the National Anthem.
