ENGINEERS’ DAY

celebrated its ENGINEERS’ DAY on 15th September 2015 in commemoration of the 155th Birth day of Bharat Ratna Sir M.Visvesvaraya.
Mrs. K.Saraswathi, A.P/EIE welcomed the gathering and HOD/EIE, Professor V.Swaminathan elaborated the Engineers’ day theme “Engineering Challenges for Knowledge Era”.
During this function the magazine “Injenieurs Navapravastana”- the second issue of EIE and Mechatronics Engineering department was released. “Injenieurs Navapravastana” means ― INNOVATION OF ENGINEERS”. The first part “Injenieurs is the French word meaning Engineers and the second part Navapravastana” is the Sanskrit word which means Innovation and entirely represents INNOVATION OF ENGINEERS”.
Chief guest Mr. S. M. Amuthan, DGM, Metro Railway, Chennai, delivered a special lecture on “Design, Installation & operation of Metro Rail System”. Students delivered speech on the topics - Mystery of the world by Mr.S.Akshith IV EIE, Bharat Ratna Sir M.Visvesvaraya by G.Gururajan III EIE, Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam by Mr.K.AjaySharma II EIE. The function concluded with vote of thanks by Mrs.T.Lakshmibai, A.P/EIE.
