Report:           The QEP  started with welcome address by  organizing secretary, S.Vijayabarathi Asst.prof.of Mathematics. Dr.A..Jayalakshmi , Head ( Dept. of mathematics)  & prof.of Mathematics  initiated the program by explaining the  objectives of   QEP  and started the first session .She began with the basic concepts in abstract algebra such as binary operation, associative law and one sided identities and gave  some insight into  the small things we usually ignore. She also explained the Light associativity test which helps in checking associativity of an operation on a finite set when it is given by multiplication table.

After tea break  the second session was handled  by Dr. K Srinivasa  rao, Associate prof. of Mathematics. He showed the transformation of  and  and to find  dimensions of N(T) and R(T)..He explained how Laplace transformation, Fourier transformation and Z- transformations  are Linear transformation. He talked about Vector spaces and Matrices.

After lunch break Mr.P.Nagarajan,  Asst.prof .of Mathematics continued the program. He introduced Automata theory through many definitions and listed many properties. He explained deterministic finite automata and showed how to draw machines for the DFA language.

The last session was handled by Dr.T.Venugopal Dean ( Arts & Humanities),Director ( R & P) and prof.of Mathematics. He introduced formal languages to the beginners by very simple examples and  made the students participate  in his program.

Dr.T.Venugopal, Dean ( Arts & Humanities),Director ( R & P) distributed the certificates. This program came to an end in a grand manner with the vote of thanks proposed  by Mrs. K. Pramila,

Asst.prof. of Mathematics.
