WORLD HEART DAY RALLY
JOINTLY ORGANISED BY INDIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION (KANCHEEPURAM WING) AND NSS WING OF SCSVMV UNIVERSITY 04.10.2013

World Heart Day Rally was organized jointly by IMA-Kancheepuram wing and NSS wing of SCSVMV University on 04th October 2013. The rally was inaugurated by Shri. K. Krishnaraj, Deputy Director of Health Department, Kancheepuram district at 10.00 a.m. Nearly 200 NSS Volunteers from SCSVMV University participated in the rally. The rally started from Ekambareswarar Sannathi Street and was proceeded through all the four Raja Veedhis of Kancheepuram and finally ended near Sankara mutt.
During the rally, pamphlets insisting good food and health habits for heart care were issued to the public by the NSS Volunteers and they raised slogans “eat more vegetables, avoid non-vegetarian foods and save the heart” throughout the rally and created awareness among the public. Dr. P.T. Saravanan, Chairman , World Health Oraganisation, Kancheepuram wing, Shri.M. Sundarrajan, Coordinator NSS Wing SCSVMV and NSS Officers Shri. B.Muthukumaran, Shri. J.S. Shyam Mohan, Mrs. K. Rajalakshmi and former NSS Officer Shri. V. Santhanam were participated in the rally.
