SHRAM DHAAN IN SCSVMV ON GANDHI JAYANTHI – 2013
A One Day Campus cleaning programme was organised By NSS wing Of SCSVMV University ON 02.10.2013 on the eve of Gandhi Jeyanthi bearing the name Shram Daan. The programme was started at 10.00 a.m. The NSS Co-ordiantor Shri.M. Sundarrajan welcomed the gathering. The vice chancellor Shri. Vishnu Potty gave the presidential address. In his address, he appreciated the Gandian principles and motivated the staff and students towards Shram daan – imparting labour by oneself at free of cost to the society and to the nation. He read the non –violence voth and made everyone to read the same. He announced the campus cleaning event as a Shram daan exercise.
The Registrar and Chief Administrative Officer gave the felicitations to the gathering. The Vice Chancellor started the exercise by giving cleaning items to the NSS volunteers. The NSS Officer Shri. B. Mutukumaran delivered vote of thanks.
The Vice Chancellor, other dignitaries of the university, NSS Coordinator, Programe Officers involved themselves in the cleaning activities along with the NSS volunteers. Stickers were fixed in different areas of the campus instructing to maintain cleanliness in the campus.
