TREE PLANTATION CAMP AT SCSVMV CONDUCTED BY NSS WING ON 10.07.2014
NSS wing of SCSVMV University organized a one day TREE PLANTATION CAMP on 10.07.2014 at the University campus. Prof. Dr. V.V Vishnu Potty, the Vice – Chancellor of the University inaugurated the tree plantation camp. The camp was jointly organized with L&T Company, Enathur, Kancheepuram. Nearly 500 tree saplings were planted all around the University campus. The Asst. General Manager of L&T Company Mr. Umesh Kanna and Forest officer, Kancheepuram district, NSS Programme Coordinator, Programme Officers and nearly 100 NSS volunteers participated in the camp and planted the saplings. Refreshments were given to all volunteers. NSS Program Coordinator Mr. M. Sundarrajan and Programme Officers Mr. B. Muthukumaran, Mr. J.S. Shyam Mohan and Mrs. K. Rajalakshmi carried out the necessary arrangements for the camp.
