The Department of Physics organized Seventh National Workshop On Instrumentation Techniques In Physics [PINTECH’16] on 27-02-2019. Prof.Dr.K.Venkatramanan, Head, Department of Physics & Convener – PINTECH’19 welcomed the gathering. Dr.V.Ragavendran, Asst. Prof. of Physics & Organizing Secretary - PINTECH’18 briefed about the objectives of the workshop. Prof.Dr.S.balaji, Dean (Faculty of Science) honored the Chief Guest.Dr.T.Gnanasekaran, Ex-Raja Ramanna Fellow (IGCAR, Kalpakkam), Director, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Centre for Advanced research of our university with a shawl. The chief Guest released the Manual of the Instrumentation Techniques –PINTECH 2019 and the first copy of the same was received by our Dean. Our department Newsletter “Spectra” was released by the dean and first copy was received by Our HOD..

Prof. Dr.S.Balaji, Prof & Dean (Faculty of Science) gave presidential address and inaugurated the workshop. The Chief guest addressed the gathering before the conclusion of inaugural address. Prof.K.C.Srinivas, Director, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Centre for Advanced Research (SJCAR) felicitated the gathering. The technical session began and the speaker delivered a keynote address n the topic “Tailoring semiconducting oxides for chemical sensor applications”.

During afternoon session, the participants were divided into batches and the fundamentals and working principle of various instrumentation techniques were explained and demonstrated.
