Guest Lecture on “Applications of Physics in daily life” on 23.10.2015

                    Department of Physics organized a guest lecture on “Applications of Physics in daily life” during 23^rd October 2015 for all UG and PG students of the department. Dr.K.Venkatramanan, Professor and Head, Department of Physics welcomed the gathering. Prof.Dr.S.Gunasekaran, Dean (R & D), St. Peter's University, Chennai and Prof. Dr.S. Jayakumar, Associate Professor of Physics, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College, Mylapore, Chennai acted as resources persons for this programme.

                    Prof. Dr. S. Jayakumar gave lecture on the importance of taking Physics as their career for higher studies. He made the students to realize that they are studying an emerging science course which would find applications in various fields. Prof.Dr. S. Gunasekaran motivated the students with the inventions made by the scientists, their hard work and the importance of the inventions in the present life. He explained the applications of Physics in daily life. He motivated the students to achieve their goals following the track of scientists and trend setters. Dr.M.Sundarrajan and Prof.R. Raja made arrangements for this lecture.
