Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week – Essentials of Vigilance Awareness towards building the Mightier Nation held on 9.11.2016
The department of Physics and NSS Wing of SCSVMV jointly observed “Vigilance Awareness Week” on 09.11.2016. The Theme of Vigilance Awareness Week 2016 celebration is “Public Participation to promote Integrity and to eradicate Corruption “. Prof.Dr.K.Venkatramanan, Head, Department of Physics welcomed the gathering and explained the procedure to take oath online. Dr.M.Sundarrajan, Assistant Professor of Physics and NSS Programme Coordinator briefed the objectives of this programme. Prof.Dr.G.Srinivasu, Registrar, SCSVMV, delivered the Presidential address. The Chief Guest Shri.T.Sivapatha Sekaran, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Kanchipuram addressed the gathering on the theme “Essentials of Vigilance Awareness towards Building the Mightier Nation”. Special address was delivered by Shri.V.Ganesan, Inspector of Police, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Kanchipuram and he inspired with his great words the need to eradicate Corruption in building stronger India. Prof.C.V.Venkatakrishnan, Professor of Physics, gave a motivating speech on eradicating corruption and insisted that it is the need of the day. Ms.Ramyarai of I B.Sc Physics gave a speech against corruption and requested the students to follow the path of Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam. Integrity Pledge was taken by all the participants of this programme. Prof. Dr.S.Balaji, Prof & Dean (Faculty of Science) felicitated the gathering. Dr.K.Rajalakshmi, Assistant Professor of Physics and NSS Programme Officer proposed vote of thanks. Mr.B.Muthukumaran, Assistant Professor of Chemistry & NSS Programme Officer and Mr.J.S. Shyam Mohan, Assistant Professor of Computer Science & NSS Programme Officer coordinated with Physics department in making arrangements for the programme. The programme concluded with National Anthem.
