Objectives
The goal of the proposed workshop is to enable deliberations and presentations on the Metadata Standards for Palm Leaf Manuscripts, in order to facilitate user access to and use of the knowledge recorded on palm leaf manuscripts (PLMs) as effectively as possible. This will help in formulating the schema that will serve as a standard information structure that can be used in the cataloging and management of Palm Leaf Manuscripts in specific, and other digitized ancient artifacts in general, both from an access as well as preservation perspective.
