About the Conference:
1st National Conference on Power Systems Emergencies (NPSEC-2012) is the premier forum for the presentation of new advances and research findings in the fields of theoretical, experimental, and applied Power & Energy Engineering. The conference will bring together leading researchers, engineers and scientists in the domain of interest from around the country. The emphasis is to provide a platform for power system engineers and researchers from both academics and industry in exchanging the knowledge, ideas, expertise and their experience on the latest developments in the field of Power Systems Emergency studies.
About the Department:
On the Occasion of celebrating the 15th Year of inception of the department, the NPSEC-2012 is organised by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, SCSVMV University, Enathur, Kanchipuram, The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at SCSVMV UNIVERSITY is as old as the Institute itself. Its impact on the Institute and on society is easily demonstrated by noting the alignment of the department's evolution with key events and academic advances in the University.
Today, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of SCSVMV UNIVERSITY attracts and features an extraordinary rich diversity and quantity of talented individuals, with nearly 500+ Under Graduates, 30+ Post Graduate students and PhD Scholars, from all over India with over 25 faculty members. The Department Offers UG, PG and Research programs as Full time and Part time degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Power Systems, Power Electronics & Drives. The Part time courses are developed with a focus on working Employees in Engineering Colleges, Universities and Industries, which help the people community to equip themselves with higher education, in turn help their parent organisation to grow at best. The impressive array of students makes the department as one of the largest in the University.
The Department provides the broad knowledge base required for engineers in present global industrial scenario. The main focus is concentrating on the significant modern developments in the electrical and electronics engineering.
As you all know, Kanchi is not only an Ancient Education city of India, its also a Modern Industrial City, especially the Automotive Hub of India. On par with the growth of industries and technology, department is striving to work with industries and experts in developing courses which suits the industrial needs.
