The Department of Computer Science and Engineering recently hosted an insightful alumni talk, “Vibe Coding is not bad… but,” featuring Mr. K. K. Senthil Velan (Batch of 2003). The session explored the balance between AI-driven development and core engineering, using live Cursor AI demos to show how AI should serve as a co-pilot rather than a replacement for fundamental logic. Students were encouraged to master multiple abstraction layers and practice responsible AI usage to avoid the pitfalls of blind dependence. Special thanks to Mr. Senthil Velan for bridging the gap between classroom learning and modern industry workflows.
