The 68th Sankaracharya in this Guru parampara,  Parama Pujya Mahaswamiji, Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji,  is revered as Walking God.  The University is fortunate to be established in His Holy Name by Parama Pujya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji , the 69th Acharya and Parama Pujya Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati Sankaracharya  Swamiji, the 70th Acharya.
