One-Day Hands-on Training Program on Embedded Systems @ IIT Madras
The Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Madras, organized a One-Day Hands-on Training Program on Embedded Systems on 30th October 2025.
The program was coordinated and led by Prof. R. Sarathi, Dean (Planning), IIT Madras, and conducted by Ms. G. Amutha, Technical Officer, IIT Madras. The training was supported by the STEM Centre, IIT Madras team comprising Mr. K. Prakash, Ms. M. Manochitra, Mr. K. Manigandan, Mr. M. P. Lokesh, and Mr. N. Nishanth.
Topics Covered:
Participants explored the fundamentals and real-time applications of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and interfacing techniques. The session included hands-on exposure to:
- Embedded hardware design
- Sensor interfacing (ultrasonic, flow, pressure, TDS, IR, humidity, temperature)
- Display devices interfacing
- IoT-based project development
A total of 27 students and 6 faculty members from SCSVMV University, Kanchipuram, actively participated and gained valuable insights into real-world applications across EEE, ECE, and CSE disciplines.
