The remodeled Annapoorani hostel for boys was inaugurated at Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Maha Vidyalaya University on September 27, 2025. The ceremony was led by chief guest Shri. R. Shankar Raman, CFO of L&T, and Shri. K.G. Sathyanarayanan, Head of Initiatives Development Cell of L&T. Larson And Tubro Limited .
Shri. Pammal Viswanathan, Trustee of SCSVMV University, presided over the event and welcomed the chief guests. Other attendees included Shri. Suresh Gurumani, Financial Advisor, and Dr. Gopalasamy Sriram, Registrar (i/c) of SCSVMV University. Dr. Venkatesh Chittur, Smt. @lakshmi, Faculty members, students, and hostel wardens also attended the ceremony.
The event included offering flowers and prayers to Shri Adi Shankaracharya’s Magnificent monolithic statue, visiting the Saswathaiswaryam Palm Leaf Manuscripts Heritage Centre and Navaratri Golu Mandapam, and distributing sweets to students. This occasion marked a significant milestone in the university’s commitment to providing quality infrastructure for its students.
