Three Day National Shastric Conference at Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham

The Dept. of Sanskrit & Indian Culture, Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Viswa Mahavidyalaya (Deemed‑to‑be‑University), jointly with Guruvara Trust, is organizing the three‑day National Shastric Conference at Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, Kanchipuram (14‑16 Dec 2025) from today, coinciding with the 32nd Aradhana Mahotsavam of Jagadguru Pujyashri Kanchi Mahaswamigal.

On the first day, over 40 eminent Shastric scholars from across India gathered, and 11 distinguished Vidvans presented Vakyarthas (Nyaya, Vedanta, Mimamsa & Vyakarana) under the divine guidance of Jagadguru Pujyashri Satya Chandrashekharendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal. Their insightful deliberations enriched traditional scholarship and fostered meaningful academic deliberations at the conference.

Under the benign blessings of Jagadguru Pujyasri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal and Jagadguru Pujyasri Satya Chandrashekharendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal of Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, the Department of Sanskrit and Indian Culture at SCSVMV, in joint collaboration with the Sri Guruvara Sadas Trust, successfully organized a three-day National Shastric Conference from 14th to 16th December 2025. This prestigious gathering coincided with the 32nd Ārādhanamahotsava of Jagadguru Pujyasri Chandrashekharendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Mahaswamigal, the 68th Pīṭhādhipati of the Mūlāmnāya Sarvajña-pīṭham.
The event served as a vibrant platform for traditional intellectual exchange, drawing 55 eminent and young scholars from across Bharat. These participants presented their scholarly vākyārthas across various Shastras, demonstrating the depth and continuity of Indian philosophical traditions. Throughout the three days, the revered Ācāryās monitored the deliberations and personally distributed certificates and blessings to the participants. This successful initiative was meticulously coordinated by Dr. R. Naveen and Dr. T.K. Narasimhan from the Department of Sanskrit and Indian Culture, SCSVMV, alongside the dedicated Trustees of the Sri Guruvara Sadas Trust, marking a significant milestone in the promotion of Shastric learning.
