The AICTE-Saraswati Scholarship Scheme is a commendable initiative aimed at empowering female students by providing financial support for their higher education in business administration, computer applications, and management studies. To be eligible, applicants must be female students who have secured admission to the first year of a degree-level course in BBA, BCA, or BMS at an AICTE-approved institution. The scheme allows a maximum of two girl children per family to apply, ensuring that the benefits reach a broader segment of society. Additionally, the total family income should not exceed Rs 8 lakh per annum, and this must be substantiated by a valid income certificate issued by the State/UT Government. Successful candidates receive a scholarship amount of Rs 25,000 per year, which can be utilized to cover college fees, purchase educational materials such as books and software, and even buy a computer. The scholarship is disbursed through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode, ensuring a transparent and efficient process.
On the other hand, the AICTE-Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme is designed to support students pursuing technical education in core branches of Engineering and Technology at both degree and diploma levels. Eligible candidates must be admitted to the first year of a degree or diploma-level course in any AICTE-approved institution or be second-year students through lateral entry. The family income criterion remains the same, with a maximum limit of Rs 8 lakh per annum. This scheme offers a total of 5,200 scholarships annually, distributed between degree and diploma courses. Degree-level students can receive Rs 50,000 per annum for up to four years (for first-year admitted students) or up to three years (for lateral entry students). The selection process is based on merit in the qualifying examinations, with 12th-grade scores considered for degree courses and 10th-grade scores for diploma courses. Like the Saraswati Scholarship, the Yashasvi Scholarship is also disbursed through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode, ensuring timely and secure financial assistance to the deserving students. Our mahavidyalaya supports both of the above scholarships and actively encourages students to enroll in them.
