The School of Education of Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya (Deemed to be University) organised a One Day Induction Programme for In-Service Teachers on “Holistic Teaching for the 21st Century: Integrating LSRW to Transform Learning” on 31st January 2026 from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM at the International Library, Second Floor. The programme began with a prayer song by Ms. G. Haripriya, B.Ed. II Year, followed by the welcome address by Prof. Dr. K. Venkatramanan, Dean, Faculty of Science & Education. The objectives of the programme were presented by Mrs. J. Jayapriya, Head (i/c), School of Education. The Presidential Address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Vasanth Kumar Mehta, Pro Vice-Chancellor, SCSVMV. The Resource Person, Ms. Sandhya Venkata Raman, CBSE Master Trainer and Education Consultant, was introduced by Dr. R. Jayalakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE, School Outreach. Her sessions focused on strengthening classroom practices through the effective integration of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing (LSRW) skills, promoting holistic teaching, learner engagement, and practical strategies for classroom implementation. The sessions were interactive and enriched with real-life examples, activities, and reflective discussions. The Valedictory Function and Certificate Distribution were graciously conducted by the Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. G. Srinivasu, who appreciated the active participation of the teachers. A total of 70 in-service teachers from 15 schools participated in the programme. Participants shared that they gained valuable knowledge, practical insights, and innovative ideas to enhance their classroom teaching practices. The programme concluded successfully, achieving its objectives of empowering teachers with holistic teaching strategies aligned with the demands of 21st century education.
