Dr. L. Priyadharshini is an accomplished legal academician with over 14 years of teaching experience in the field of law, along with practical exposure in legal practice. She currently serves as an Associate Professor with significant academic and administrative contributions in legal education.
She completed her Ph.D. in Environmental Law from Saveetha School of Law, focusing on the harmonization of environmental laws and development policies. She holds an LL.M. in International Law and Organisation from the University of Madras and a B.A., B.L. degree from Dr. Ambedkar Law University.
Dr. Priyadharshini has served at Saveetha School of Law, SIMATS, Chennai, from 2nd August 2017 to 19th December 2025 as an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of International Law. Prior to this, she worked as a Guest Faculty at Madurai Kamaraj University College from July 2011 to June 2017, contributing extensively to management and law-related subjects.
Her academic expertise spans Environmental Law, International Law, Labour Law, and Constitutional Law, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary research and policy development. She has published 32 research works, including 14 Scopus-indexed publications, and has authored books on environmental sustainability and legal systems.
She has actively contributed to academia through various leadership roles, in Savitha School of Law including:

Member – Ethics Committee, POSH Cell, and Women Empowerment Cell
Dr. Priyadharshini is also actively involved in guiding research scholars, mentoring students, organizing academic events, and participating in national and international conferences. She has contributed to social initiatives such as legal aid camps and awareness programs, reflecting her commitment to community engagement.
Her strengths include legal research, academic leadership, curriculum development, and policy analysis, making her a dedicated educator and researcher in the field of law.
