The School of Education, SCSVMV, organized a webinar on First Aid & Injury Prevention: Essential Skills for Teachers on 6 June 2026 from 3:00 to 4:00 PM. The program commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Mrs.J.Jayapriya, Head, School of Education, SCSVMV who emphasized the importance of equipping teachers with practical health and safety knowledge to ensure student well‑being. This was followed by the presidential address by Prof.K.Venkataramanan, Dean, Faculty of Education, SCSVMV who highlighted the critical role of first aid awareness in educational institutions and stressed the need for preventive measures to reduce risks in school environments. The keynote lecture was delivered by Dr.R.Tamilselvan, Assistant Professor, Department of Physiotherapy, SCSVMV. His insightful presentation focused on essential first aid techniques, injury prevention strategies, and the importance of timely intervention in emergencies. He provided practical demonstrations and shared guidelines tailored for teachers to handle common injuries, thereby enhancing their preparedness and confidence in managing health‑related situations. The webinar concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr.R.Saravanan, Assistant Professor, School of Education, SCSVMV who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, the resource person, and the participants.
