The School of Education, SCSVMV, organized a webinar on “Future of Teaching: Essential ICT Skills for 21st Century Educators” on 10th April 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The program began with a welcome address by Mrs.J.Jayapriya, Head, School of Education, SCSVMV who highlighted the growing importance of ICT skills in enhancing classroom practices and preparing educators for the challenges of the digital era. The resource person for the webinar was Dr.K.Vellaichamy, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, Tamilnadu. He delivered an insightful presentation on the essential ICT skills required for 21st century educators, emphasizing the integration of digital tools, online teaching strategies, and interactive learning environments. His talk underscored the need for continuous professional development in ICT to remain relevant in the rapidly evolving educational landscape. The session provided participants with valuable perspectives on the future of teaching and reaffirmed the School of Education’s commitment to empowering educators with contemporary skills and knowledge.
