The School of Education of Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya organized a workshop on “Socially Useful Productive Work” on 2nd May 2026 at 9:30 AM in the Seminar Hall. The primary objective of the workshop was to create awareness among students about the importance of integrating socially useful work with education and to foster a sense of social responsibility. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Mrs. J. Jayapriya, Head, School of Education. This was followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest, Mr. M. Srinivasan, Head, Department of Painting, Uyiroviyam School of Fine Arts, Kanchipuram. Students were trained in preparing a variety of handmade materials, including paper flowers, eco-friendly crafts, and innovative teaching-learning materials (TLMs). The students actively participated throughout the workshop, displaying remarkable creativity and enthusiasm. Overall, the programme was highly interactive and provided valuable hands-on experience, encouraging students to effectively apply their creative skills for educational and socially relevant purposes.
