The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) of Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya (SCSVMV University) was established in the year 1996 as Department of Management Studies with the benign blessings of Aacharyas of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam in the name of Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya at Enathur, Kanchipuram, Kanchipuram District, Tamilnadu. The Department offers Undergraduate, Post graduate and research programmes. Under the category of under graduation, it offers Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). the post graduation stream comprises of Master of Business Administration (MBA) General – Full Time . The research programme covers full time and part time PhD in Management. The under graduation programme both BBA and B.Com are offered under semester pattern comprises of six semesters in three years. The MBA programme is offered under Trimester Pattern with six trimesters. During the second year MBA programme ( fourth trimester) the students have to undertake dual specialization of Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, Systems, Tourism, Pharmaceutical Management , Agricultural Management, Banking, International Business and Sports Management. Tag line of our MBA is value based education at affordable cost. The Master of Commerce ( M.com) is offered under semester pattern with four semester in two years with the specialization of marketing, finance, international business and trade. The doctoral programme is Management ( Ph.D) can be pursued by the scholars in the avenues of marketing, finance, Human Resources, Operations, Systems, International Business, Strategic Management, tourism and so on. The students of under graduation and post graduation Programmes are provided with exposure in soft skills, talent and competency development. Our students are encouraged to involve themselves in field work, real time projects, business plan competitions, seminars, conferences and talent meets. Students are provided industrial and practical exposure through the guest lecturers, seminars, events, case studies and simulation exercises. The Department provides the basic traditional value related courses with the support of modern management and business practices.

BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
Bachelor of Business Administration is a unique programme that helps young minds to channelize their interest in business and management. It includes domains that cover fundamentals of business and commerce along with application of accounts, statistics and Information Technology. BBA course in this department will be offering updated syllabus that suits for students to inculcate the skills of business planning, Managerial ability and entrepreneurial imitativeness.

MBA
Blend of ancient values in Modern Occupational Based Management Education is the Motto of MBA Programme at SCSVMV. SCSVMV University started offering MBA programme since 1996. Presently it has successfully molded eighteenth batches of students with required corporate and theoretical inputs through rigorous activity based learning process. The modus operandi of MBA programme at SCSVMV insists imbibing theoretical aspects with practical exposure. The students are trained through self initiative real time projects under the Trimester system. The courses here is being taught in six trimesters by making a student to undergo all core functional areas of management in first three trimesters and speicaliations in management during fourth and fifth trimesters. Students are offered dual specialization in the areas of Marketing, Finance, HR, Systems, Operations, Tourism, Hospital Management, Agri Management, International Business, Sports and Infrastructure Management. In addition to that the students are trained to gain practical exposure in various industries through mini and major real time projects.

DOCTORAL PROGRAMME (PH.D) IN MANAGEMENT
Faculty of Management Studies of SCSVMV University offers doctoral programme in management The candidates can pursue their doctoral programme in any functional and its elective areas in management like Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, Systems, Strategic Management. The candidates can get their admission after appearing for the entrance examination and interview. The maximum period of completion of doctoral programme is Six years. The doctoral programme in management and commerce can be pursued by academicians, industrialist, executives and entrpreneuers. Eligibility
